So, We announced some news...

...I'm not going to get into the merits of the announcement of the newly announced Playnet deal that will license the game in China.

But I am damned embarrassed by all the racism, ignorance and racism I see on our forums. Good thing I'm not a mod or the banhammer would be scarred from heavy use. As it is, I'm thankful I have an ignore feature for the forums. Lot of names added to that recently.

Some was acceptable light humour but yes, just shows how childlike some supposed adults really are.

Agreed.

In fairness to the working mods, they take their lead from higher levels.

And perhaps such comments are to be expected, as the downside of ~7 years of CRS-encouraged OT.

QFT

Modding the forums is the only thing I REALLY do not miss about WWIIOL.

All the repsonsibility, and none of the authority.

I can only imagine how bad it was after the announcement.

I found the racism, bigotry and hatred to be disgusting on the WWIIOL forums. I found the lack of moderation in OT to be really bad. Such a dorky clique of internet toughguys that are so close-minded posting their sophomoric race based humor like a drunken coworker at an office party. I knew the second the China information was released that we'd see a bunch of crap; sure enough, posters did not disappoint. I think that the rules should be more enforced on the WWIIOL forums.
